Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the physical loading upon the toner at the removing by removing the magnetic toner on a developing sleeve by the use of a nonmagnetic sleeve having a magnet in the inside. CONSTITUTION:An insulation-characteristic magnetic toner layer of 30-500mu is formed on a sleeve 18 by the relative driving of the magnet 17 disposed on the inner side of a nonmagnetic sleeve 18 and the sleeve 18, and the latent images on a photosensitive drum 20 are developed. After the development, the toner remained on the sleeve 18 is removed by a developing powder removing means having a nonmagnetic sleeve 22 which has a magnet in its inside and moves relatively with said magnet. It is desirable to provide the sleeve for removing the developing powder in a position higher than the horizontal position of the central shaft of the magnetic means of the developing sleeve. It is equally well to utilize both effects of an electric field and a magnetic field by applying bias voltage 25 in order to smoothly move the toner from the developing sleeve to the sleeve for removing the developing powder.
