Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve combustion through simple structure, by a method wherein passages on the inlet side and on the outlet side for cooling water are formed in juxtaposition in a manner to be spaced close to each other and between an engine and a radiator, and a valve to control the cooling water flow area of each passage is disposed to the communication part of each passage. CONSTITUTION:A passage 9 on the inlet side to intercouple a hot zone 5a on the combustion side of a cooling water passage 5 formed in a rotary engine 6 and the delivery side 8 of a water pump 7 is formed. A passage 11 on the outlet side to intercouple a zone 5b on the suction side of the cooling water passage 5 and a thermostat 10 is formed. The passages 9 and 11 are formed in juxtaposition in a manner to be spaced close to each other. Meanwhile, a communicating part 27 to intercommunicate the two passages 9 and 11 is formed, and a butterfly valve 28 to simultaneously vary and control the cooling water flow areas of the passages 9 and 11 according to the load of the rotary engine 6 is disposed to the communication part 27. This constitution holds cooling water at a high temperature through reduction of a cooling water flow area, for example, during low load running.
