Abstract

The diesel engine fuel heater comprises a body (2) inside which a fuel filter (3) is mounted. A cover (4) on the body contains a first set of passages for the fuel and a second for the engine cooling water, so that heat-exchange takes place between them. - The second set incorporates an inlet opening (5) connected directly to the pressure outlet from a thermostat (6) controlling the engine cooling system. A valve in the cover controls flow of water through the second set of passages.
