Abstract
PURPOSE:To form a small-sized and light coil easily by a method wherein a coil of an oxide superconductor is formed collectively on a substrate composed of glass, a ceramic or a metal by using a paste composed of powder of the oxide superconductor and an organic binder. CONSTITUTION:A paste composed of a powder of an oxide superconductor and an organic binder is screen-printed on a glass substrate, a ceramic substrate or a metal substrate to be a form of a coil. The organic binder contained in the paste is heated in the air or in an atmosphere of oxygen. After the binder has been removed by oxidation or thermal decomposition due to the heating, the oxide powder of the oxide superconductor is heated in the air or in the atmosphere of oxygen up to a temperature at which the powder is sintered; by this process, the coil composed of the oxide superconductor is formed collectively on the substrate. In addition, if two or more glass or ceramic sintered substance or metal substrates on which the coil has been formed in the above manner are laminated, a multilayered coil can be formed.
