Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a superconducting material having homogeneous structure and extremely high sintering and current densities, by mixing respective compounds containing Sc, etc., and Cu, etc., mixing the resultant mixture with respective compounds containing Ba, etc., and Cu, etc., and firing the obtained mixture. CONSTITUTION:A ceramics based superconducting material consisting of the composition formula expressed by the formula is produced by a method described below. That is raw materials consisting of respective compounds containing A and C are mixed and calcined to form oxides containing the A and C. The resultant oxides are then mixed with raw materials consisting of respective compounds containing B and C and the obtained mixture is then fired in oxygen atmosphere. In the formula, A represents Sc, Y, La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb or Lu; B represents Ba, Sr or Ca; C represents Cu or a mixture of Cu as a principal component with one or more mixtures of Ti, V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni and Zn.
