CONSTITUTION:This oxide high-temperature superconducting material has a composition expressed by the formula (A is one or a mixture of two or more selected from Sc, Y, La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb and Lu; B is one or a mixture of two or more selected from Ba, Sr and Ca and y is 0.05-0.3). This oxide high-temperature superconducting material is prepared by using Y2O3, BaCO3, CuO, ZnO, etc., as raw material powders, weighing, blending the above-mentioned powders so as to provide a composition expressed by the formula, pulverizing the resultant blend, calcining the pulverized blend, then pulverizing the calcined blend, press forming the pulverized blend, sintering the obtained compact and heat-treating the fired compact in oxygen.
