Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a superconductor which attains superconductive state at >=77K by pulverizing a precalcined product obtd. from a powder mixture consisting of two components among three specified element components, and calcining finally a molded product obtd. from a powder mixture consisting of the pulverized product and residual components. CONSTITUTION:A first component (A1) contains Y and at least one kind of element among Sc, La, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb and Lu. A second component (A2) contains Sr or/and Ca. A third component (A3) contains at least one kind of element among Cu, Zn, Ni, Co, Fe, Pd, Ag, and Cd. A powder mixture consisting primarily of two components among the above described three components is precalcined at a temp. below the final calcination temp., then the precalcined product is pulverized. Obtd. pulverized product is mixed with powder consisting primarily of residual components and the mixture is molded. The molded product is calcined finally at 950-1,200 deg.C in oxidizing atmosphere to form thus a sintered body having K2NiF4 structure contg. rhombic crystals. Said sintered body is an aimed superconductor consisting of A1, A2 and A3 in the proportions defined by the inequalities, and O.
