Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a superconductor exhibiting superconductivity above the b.p. of liquid N2 by constituting a sintered body contg. specified three kinds of element. CONSTITUTION:A powder mixture is prepd. by mixing powder consisting primarily of a combination of powder consisting primarily of at least one kind of element (A1) selected from Sc, La, Na, Sm, Eu, Gd, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb, and Lu, and at least one kind of element (A2) selected from Ba, Ca, and Sr, with powder consisting primarily of at least one kind of element (A3) selected from Cu, Zn, Ni, Co, Fe, Pd, Ag and Cd. After compression-molding the powder mixture, the molded product is calcined at 950-1,200 deg.C in oxidizing atmosphere. Thus, a superconductor comprising a sintered body having K2NiF4 structure contg. rhombic crystals obtd., wherein said sintered body consists of A1, A2, A3 and O and each content of A1, A2 and A3 is defined by the inequalities: 10<=A1<=60 atomic %, 20<=A2<=50 atomic %, and 30<=A3<=65 atomic %.
