Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a superconductor which attains superconductive state at >=77K by pulverizing a precalcined powder mixture of specified three kinds of element, pulverizing the precalcined product, granulating the pulverized product and molding the granulated product, then calcining finally the molded product. CONSTITUTION:A first component (A1) contains Y and at least one kind of element among Sc, La, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb, and Lu. A second component (A2) contains Sr or/and Ca. A third component (A3) contains at least one kind of element among Cu, Zn, Ni, Co, Fe, Pd, Ag and Cd. Powder consisting primarily of elements belonging to the group A1, is mixed with powder consisting primarily of elements belonging to the group A2 and powder consisting primarily of element belonging to the group A3. Obtd. powder mixture is calcined at a temp. lower than a final calcination temp. and obtd. calcined product is pulverized and then granulated, which is then compression-molded and the molded product is calcined finally at 950-1,200 deg.C in oxidizing atmosphere to form thus a sintered product having K2NiF4 structure contg. rhombic crystals. The sintered body is an aimed superconductor consisting of A1, A2, and A3 defined by the formula in addition to O component.
