Abstract
PURPOSE:To produce a superconductor which exhibits superconductivity at the b.p. of liquid N2 by forming a sintered body having K2NiF4 structure contg. rhombic crystals wherein said sintered body is obtd. by calcining powder as a mixture of specified three groups of elements in specified proportions after precalcining the powder, molding the precalcined product, and calcining the molded product in oxidizing atmosphere. CONSTITUTION:A powder mixture consisting of 10-60atom.% first component selected from Er, Sc, La, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Dy, Ho, Tm, Yb and Lu, 20-50atom.% second component selected from Ba, Ca, or/and Sr, and 30-65atom.% third component selected from Cu, Zn, Ni, Co, Fe, Pd, Ag, and Cd, is prepd. Then, the powder mixture is precalcined, pulverized, granulated, and compression-molded, and the molded product is calcined finally in oxidizing atmosphere. Thus, a sintered body having K2NiF4 structure contg. rhombic crystals is formed. By this process, an aimed superconductor consisting of elements belonging to the first component, second component, and third component and O is obtd.
