Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a superconducting oxide having remarkably increased critical current density, by calcining a mixture of oxides of Sc, Y, etc., oxides or carbonates of Ba, Sr, etc., and oxides of Cu, etc., under specific condition, thereby forming an oxide expressed by a prescribed compositional formula. CONSTITUTION:The 1st component consisting of R2O3 (R is Sc, Y, La, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb or Lu) is mixed with separately prepared 2nd component consisting of AO or ACO3 (A is Ba, Sr or Ca) and 3rd component consisting of MO (M is Cu which may be partly substituted with Ni) at specific ratios. The obtained mixture is calcined thrice or more in an oxidizing atmosphere at 850-950 deg.C to obtain a superconducting oxide expressed by M3O7-x (x is 0-7).
