Abstract
PURPOSE:To produce electrically-conductive ceramic which is small in specific resistance and has same electrical conduction as metal by calcining a mixture of specified two kinds of compds. in the oxygen atmosphere. CONSTITUTION:Raw material powder is obtained by mixing compds. such as Y2O3, BaCO3, SrCO3 and CuO used for the raw material so that the mixture is regulated to composition of YBa2Cu3Oy and YSr2Cu3Oy and preliminarily calcining this mixture in the oxygen atmosphere and pulverizing it. Then this raw material powder is mixed so that it is regulated to the composition of YBa2-xSrxCu3Oy and molded and thereafter calcined in the oxygen atmosphere and thereby electrically-conductive ceramic wherein the following molar ratio of elements is satisfied is obtained. Y:Ba:Sr:Cu:O=1:(2-x):x:3:y, 0.3<=x<1.2, y<=8.
