Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain high sensitivity, potential stability, and high durability by using a specified compound as an electric charge transfer material. CONSTITUTION:The layer of the electrophotographic sensitive body contains one of the compounds represented by formula I in which each of R1 and R2 is alkyl, aralkyl group, or the like; each of R3 and R4 is H atom, alkyl group, or the like; Ar is a divalent aryl or heterocyclic group; X is a residue condensing with the cyclopentane ring and forming a polycyclic aromatic ring or a heterocyclic ring; and (n) is 0 or 1, thus permitting the obtained photosensitive body to be superior in sensitivity and other characteristics and variances of potentials in the light and in the dark at the time of repeated cycles of charging and exposure to be improved.
