Abstract

PURPOSE:To promote float-up of developed inclusion and to reduce the inclusion in molten steel by giving rotating movement to the molten steel flowing in a flowing pipe to aggregate and develop the inclusion in the molten steel and reducing speed of the flowed molten steel in the vessel. CONSTITUTION:A rotating magnetic field generator 5 is arranged around a long nozzle 3 for pouring and the rotating magnetic field is applied in the molten steel in the nozzle 3 toward cross sectional direction of the flowing passage in the nozzle 3. By action of this rotating magnetic field, the induction current to the flowing direction of the nozzle 3 is induced and the rotating movement is generated toward the cross sectional direction, and the molten steel is flowed downward in the nozzle 3 while rotating. The inclusion in the molten steel is collected at the center part in the flowing passage and assembled and aggregated. The enlarged inclusion is easily floated up by receiving buoyancy at the time of flowing in the tundish 2 and removed from the molten steel.
