Description

【考案の詳細な説明】 本考案は、熱風溶着機のノズル装置に関し、特
に中空状でほゞ円形の形状をした熱可塑性樹脂部
材の接合を可能にする熱風溶着機のノズル装置に
関するものである。
車両のブレーキオイルリザーバタンクや窓洗浄
のための洗浄液用タンクは合成樹脂材よりなり、
中空形状に形成されて熱風溶着機により接合され
ている。即ち特開昭55−139217号「中空体形状を
した熱可塑性樹脂材の熱風溶着方法とその装置」
に開示されてあるように被接合物を回転させて熱
風溶着ノズルを被接合物の接合面に接近させ熱風
を噴出して接合面を溶融圧着して中空体形状の前
記タンクを製造している。然しこの技術について
は小径の中空形状のものゝ溶着には最適である
が、直径の大きい中空形状のものについては接合
すべき部分の肉厚が薄いために従来方法では適切
に熱風が当らないために溶融する部分に温度のバ
ラツキが生じ、温度分布が一定でないために溶着
が悪く、このためにノズルの寸法及び固定方法に
ついて精度よく正確に作る必要があり、従つて溶
着装置全体がコスト高となつた。
本考案は前記欠点を改良するために、中空形状
の直径の大きいものゝ溶着において、被接合物1
及び2を回転させながら接合面に設けた突起状の
溶着部の温度分布を全円周一定にするためにノズ
ルの噴出口の配列をほゞ半円状に配列して一定時
間接合部を回転しながら熱風を吹き付けるもの
で、被接合物1及び2は絶えず回転し多数のノズ
ル吹出口より熱風が噴出するために接合面の温度
分布は常に均一で半溶融状態になりノズルが移動
後被接合物1及び2を圧着すれば接合面は完全に
圧着し確実に溶着されるものである。然もノズル
の吹出口は上下2方向に多数設定されノズルの口
径の寸法上に多少のバラツキがあつても溶着には
殆んど影響がなく低コストのノズル装置を提供す
るものである。
以上本考案の実施例を添付図面を参照して説明
する。
1及び2は被接合物で溶着すべき端面に1a,
2aの突起部が全円周にわたつて形成されてい
る。3はノズルホルダー、4は電熱ヒーター、5
はノズル、そして6は半円形をしたノズル先端部
で、被接合物の直径に合せて半円上に直径1〜
0.5φ程度のノズル孔6a,6b…が図に示すご
とく両側に設けられている。8及び9は被接合物
1及び2を回転させながら上・下移動する上側回
転治具及び下側回転治具である。第1図に示す矢
示10はノズル5内の熱風の流れで、ノズル孔6
a,6b,…より両側11及び12に示すように
噴出する。
以上の構成において、被接合物1及び2を上側
回転治具及び下側回転治具8及び9に取り付け、
溶着すべき端面に第1図に示すごとくノズル5を
挿入し、半円形に設けられたノズル孔6a,6
b,…を端面突起部1a及び2aの位置に合せて
いる。前記ヒーター4にて熱せられた熱風は、図
示しない送風機により、ノズル孔6a,6b,…
より噴出して熱風11及び12を吹き付け被接合
物1及び2の突起部1a,2aを半溶融状態にす
る。
熱風の温度は、被接合物1及び2の樹脂の溶融
温度に合せてヒーターにて制御されており、ポリ
プロピレンならば約280度、ナイロンならば約300
度が適当である。端部1a,2aが半溶融状態と
なり、ノズル5が13に示す方向に退出すると同
時に、前記回転治具が被接合物1及び2を合せて
一体化するために、第2図ロに示す様に、14,
15の方向に移動して一定の圧力で押え合せて、
7に示すごとく溶着する。尚、溶着面は前記突起
部が溶融して圧着され、第2図ハの拡大断面図に
示すごとく、溶着部7aの肉厚が僅か凸状になる
まで圧着して完全に溶着させるものである。又溶
着部7aは、熱風による溶融、溶着のために、熱
板溶着と比較して樹脂材料に対して化学変化と起
す程に熱勾配が急激でないために溶着後の溶着物
の老化現象及び樹脂材の変色がまつたく見受けら
れない完全な溶着部7aが構成されるものであ
る。

    【実用新案登録請求の範囲】
  1. 熱可塑性樹脂材よりなる接合面がほゞ円形の被
    接合物を回転させながら、熱風の吹出しにより前
    記被接合物の端面を溶融、圧着する熱風溶着機の
    ノズル装置において、ノズルの両面にノズル孔を
    半円形に配列したことを特徴としたノズル装置。
