Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 産業上の利用分野 この発明は、紙製容器のキヤツプヒートシール
装置に関する。
従来技術とその問題点 中央押圧部材と、中央押圧部材を取囲むように
配された所要数の分割押圧部材とよりなり、中央
押圧部材に対してキヤツプを施した容器を押上げ
る治具と、中央押圧部材に対して各分割押圧部材
を接近・離間させるために水平移動させる流体圧
シリンダとを備えているプラスチツク容器のキヤ
ツプヒートシール装置が特開昭54−85889号公報
に開示せられている。
しかしながら、上記装置では、キヤツプ嵌合容
器押上げ治具と中央押圧部材水平移動用流体圧シ
リンダとが別々に存在するので、両者を正確に連
動させるための精密な手段を別に必要とするとい
う問題があつた。
この発明の目的は、中央押圧部材を容器に施し
たキヤツプの内周面に圧接する動作と、分割押圧
部材をキヤツプの外周面に圧接する動作を1つの
装置で機械的に正確に連動せしめ、以つて確実に
キヤツプを容器にヒートシールしうる装置を提供
することにある。
問題点を解決するための手段 この発明による紙製容器のキヤツプヒートシー
ル装置は、上記の目的を達成するために、固定取
付板に下向きに取付けられた流体圧シリンダと、
流体圧シリンダにより作動せられるスライドと、
スライドの下方に所定間隔をおいて配された昇降
ヘツドと、昇降ヘツドの下面に設けられた中央押
圧部材と、中央押圧部材を取囲むように配された
所要数の分割押圧部材と、中央押圧部材を取囲む
ように昇降ヘツドに取付けられた加熱用高周波コ
イルとよりなり、スライドは取付板を貫通して流
体圧シリンダのピストンロツドの下端に固定せら
れた昇降棒と、昇降棒に固定せられた昇降板とよ
りなり、昇降ヘツドの中央に摺動棒が直立状に設
けられて昇降棒に摺動自在に連結されており、昇
降ヘツドに、各分割押圧部材に対応してこれの作
動用レバーの中程が枢着せられ、昇降板には斜め
外方下向きにのびるように連結リンクが枢着せら
れ、連結リンクの下端にレバーの上端が枢着せら
れるとともにレバーの下端が各分割押圧部材に枢
着せられ、各分割押圧部材は、さらにレバーに平
行に並べられた支持用リンクにより水平移動自在
に連結せられており、スライドの降下ストローク
前半では、スライドと昇降ヘツドとはともに降下
し、スライドの降下後半ストロークでは、ヘツド
が停止して分割押圧部材が中央押圧部材の方に水
平移動するようになされているものである。
実施例 この発明の実施例を、以下図面を参照して説明
する。
第1図は、角筒状の容器本体1と、これに施す
前の正方形のキヤツプ2を示す。第2図には、容
器本体1にキヤツプ2を施してヒートシールした
後の状態が実線で、シール前の状態が鎖線で示さ
れている。容器本体1は紙製であり、その内外両
面に熱可塑性合成樹脂層が形成せられており、上
端に開口を有する。キヤツプ2も同様紙製であ
り、裏面に接着されたアルミニウム箔層2aを有
する。キヤツプ2は、アルミニウム箔層2aをあ
らかじめ備えかつ四隅に切欠き2dが設けられた
四角形の紙を、その周縁部にそつて裏面を対向状
に2つ折りすることにより、周縁部に上方突出状
でかつ横断面逆V形のヒートシール用容器口縁嵌
合部2bが形成されたものである。このようなキ
ヤツプ2が、この発明による装置とは別の装置に
より、あらかじめその嵌合部2bを容器本体1の
口縁に上からゆるく嵌合せしめることにより、容
器本体1の口に被せられている。なお、アルミニ
ウム箔層2aの外側には、通常ホツトメルト層な
いし熱可塑性樹脂層が形成せしめられる。
第3図ないし第7図は、この発明によるヒート
シール装置を示す。ヒートシール装置は、容器搬
送用コンベアCの上方に配置されている。コンベ
アCに備わつたホルダHにより、容器本体1およ
びヒートシール前のキヤツプ2が、前記嵌合状態
でヒートシール装置直下の所定位置に、図中矢印
Aの方向に移動顛して運ばれてくる。
ヒートシール装置は、主に、スライド昇降用流
体圧シリンダ3と、そのピストンロツド3aの下
方に配されたスライド4と、スライド4に吊下げ
られた昇降ヘツド5と、昇降ヘツド5の下面に設
けられた平面からみて正方形の中央押圧部材6
と、中央押圧部材6を取囲むように配されかつ中
央押圧部材6に対して接近・離隔しうるように水
平移動自在に昇降ヘツド5に連結せられた一対の
分割押圧部材7と、分割押圧部材7を避けて中央
押圧部材6を取囲むように昇降ヘツド5に取付け
られた加熱用高周波コイル8とよりなる。中央押
圧部材6の外周面はキヤツプ2の容器口縁嵌合部
2bのヒートシール状態における内周面にそう形
状に形成せられ、分割押圧部材7の内周面は前記
嵌合部2bのヒートシール状態における外周面に
そう形状に形成せられ、中央押圧部材6と高周波
コイル8との間に前記嵌合部2bが入りこみうる
間隙が設けられている。
スライド昇降用流体圧シリンダ3は、フレーム
Fにあけられた取付孔を塞ぐように固定せられた
円形の装置取付板12上に、支持部材13,14
を介して垂直下向きに支持されている。スライド
4は、取付板12を貫通して流体圧シリンダ3の
ピストンロツド3aの下端に固定された昇降棒4
Aと、昇降棒4Aに設けられたフランジ41上に
ボルト止めされた昇降板4Bとからなる。昇降板
4Bの下面には、昇降棒4Aの両側位置に、一対
の対向壁42が垂下状に形成されている。対向壁
42の間には、斜め外方下向きにのびた連結リン
ク11の上端がはいり込んでおり、これが水平ピ
ン15で対向壁42に枢着されている(第5図参
照)。昇降棒4Aには、その下端から上向きにガ
イド孔43があけられており、その内面にブツシ
ユ16が密にはめ込まれ、これに昇降ヘツド5に
直立状に設けられた摺動棒17が下から挿入され
ている。摺動棒17には下方にいく程小径となる
ように上下2つの段部17a,17bが設けられ
ている。そして、摺動棒17は、上方より大径
部、中径部および小径部の3つの部分に分けら
れ、大径部がガイド孔43にはめ込まれている。
フランジ41の下方において昇降棒4A)におね
じ44が設けられており、これに固定ナツト18
と、これの下に摺動棒保持兼調節ナツト19とが
ねじはめられている。調節ナツト19の下端に
は、摺動棒17の中径部が挿通されて、上段部1
7aに下から引掛る内向き突出部19aが形成さ
れており、これにより摺動棒17がガイド孔43
から脱落しないようになつている。
昇降ヘツド5には貫通孔51があけられてお
り、これに摺動棒17の小径部が挿通せられ、そ
の下段部17bに貫通孔51の上縁部が下から引
掛つている。摺動棒17の下端部は昇降ヘツド5
の下方に突出しており、これにおねじ54が設け
られている。中央押圧部材6には、その下面に凹
所55とこれに続いて貫通孔があけられており、
貫通孔に摺動棒17の小径部が挿通せられ、凹所
55においておねじ54にナツト56がねじ締め
られることにより、下段部17bとナツト56と
の間に昇降ヘツド5と中央押圧部材6とが一体的
に挾止められている。貫通孔51の周囲におい
て、昇降ヘツド5の下面に複数の凹所52および
これに続く貫通孔が設けられている。案内棒9の
下端部には、貫通孔に挿通せられた小径部と、凹
所52内に突出しているおねじ57とが設けられ
ており、おねじ57にナツト58がねじ締められ
ることにより、摺動棒17の周囲において複数の
案内棒9が、昇降ヘツド5に直立せしめられてい
る。取付板12には、案内棒9の上端部が摺動自
在に挿通せられている鍔付き短筒状案内部材21
が貫通状に装着せられている。昇降板4Bには、
案内棒9の中間部が挿通されかつ内面にブツシユ
45が密にはめ込まれた貫通孔があけられてい
る。昇降板4Bと昇降ヘツド5との間には、案内
棒9にはめられた圧縮ばね20が介在させられて
いる。案内棒9の案内部材21より上方に突出し
た部分にはおねじ29が設けられており、この案
内部材21の上面に当たつて案内棒9が取付板1
2より落下するのを阻止する調節ナツト兼ナツト
22と、その上に固定ストツパ30がねじはめら
れている。
さらに、昇降ヘツド5には、両側部にレバー取
付用外方突出部53が形成されており(第6図参
照)、これに一対の分割押圧部材作動用レバー1
0の中程が水平ピン23によつて枢着されてい
る。レバー10の両端部は、連結リンク11の下
端と、分割押圧部材7とに、それぞれ水平ピン2
4,25で枢着されている。昇降ヘツド5と分割
押圧部材7とは、レバー10の他に、これと平行
に設けられた支持用リンク28によつて連結され
ており、これにより分割押圧部材7の水平姿勢が
常に保たれる。そして、スライド4の降下ストロ
ーク前半では、スライド4と昇降ヘツド5とはと
もに降下し、スライド4の降下後半ストロークで
は、ヘツド5が停止して分割押圧部材7が中央押
圧部材6の方に水平移動するようになされてい
る。
分割押圧部材7は、第7図に示されているよう
に、中央押圧部材6を介して対をなしており、各
部材の対向面は平面からみてL形でかつ合した状
態では正方形となるようになされ、その対角線方
向(図中矢印Bで示す)に、互いに接近・離隔し
うるようになつている。なお、この方向は、上述
した容器搬送方向(矢印A)に対して45度交差し
ている。分割押圧部材7の内周面の高さ方向中央
部に断面横U形の溝71が形成されており、これ
に耐熱ゴムのような弾性材26がはめ込まれて固
定されている。一対の分割押圧部材7が互いに接
近したさい、キヤツプ2の嵌合部2bを介して弾
性材26が中央押圧部材6の外周面を押圧する。
加熱用高周波コイル8は、平面からみて正方形
の環状であり、かつ上下2段に配置されている
(第4図および第6図参照)。高周波コイル8は、
ブラケツト27によつて昇降ヘツド5の下面に固
定されており、一対の分割押圧部材7が互いに接
近したときに、これらに備わつた弾性材26の上
下に位置する。分割押圧部材7の内周面でかつ弾
性材取付溝71の下方位置にコイル逃がし溝72
が形成されている。
キヤツプ2の嵌合部2bが容器口縁に嵌合され
た状態で上述の所定位置に容器本体1が送られて
くると、流体圧シリンダ3が作動してそのピスト
ンロツド3aが突出し、スライド4とともに昇降
ヘツド5が下降し、案内棒9のストツパ22によ
つて下限位置に停止せしめられる。この状態で、
中央押圧部材6がキヤツプ2の嵌合部2bの内周
面に圧接する(第4図参照)。
この状態から、さらにロツド3aが突出する
と、スライド4がばね20を圧縮するとともに、
摺動棒17がガイド孔43内に退入することによ
り、スライド4はさらに下降して昇降ヘツド5に
接近する。すると、スライド4に連結された連結
リンク11が作動レバー10の上端を外方に押し
やりその結果レバー10が水平ピン23を支点と
して回動し、その下端が内方に移動するため、一
対の分割押圧部材7が互いに接近する方向に水平
移動する。これにより、キヤツプ2の嵌合部2b
が、その内周面がわに中央押圧部材6がはめ込ま
れた状態で、その外周面に分割押圧部材7の弾性
材26が押付けられ、その結果嵌合部2bは内外
両面から容器口縁に挾圧される。このようにし
て、嵌合部2bが押圧されると、高周波コイル8
に所要時間通電してアルミニウム箔層2aを誘導
加熱する。すると容器本体1の外面の熱可塑性合
成樹脂層がまた嵌合部2bにホツトメルト層ない
し熱可塑性合成樹脂層が形成せられている場合は
これも溶融し容器口縁の両面にヒートシールされ
る。
熱可塑性合成樹脂層の材料には、通常ポリエチ
レンが用いられる。容器本体は必ずしも角筒状で
なくてもよく、横断面が円形でも正方形以外の多
角形でもよく、分割押圧部材の数は容器本体の形
状に応じて適宜定められる。
発明の効果 この発明の紙製容器のキヤツプヒートシール装
置によれば、中央押圧部材を容器に施したキヤツ
プの内周面に圧接する動作と、分割押圧部材をキ
ヤツプの外周面に圧接する動作を1つの装置で機
械的に正確に連動せしめ、以つて確実にキヤツプ
を容器にヒートシールすることができる。

Claims (1)

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 1 固定取付板12に下向きに取付けられた流体
    圧シリンダ3と、流体圧シリンダ3により作動せ
    られるスライド4と、スライド4の下方に所定間
    隔をおいて配された昇降ヘツド5と、昇降ヘツド
    5の下面に設けられた中央押圧部材6と、中央押
    圧部材6を取囲むように配された所要数の分割押
    圧部材7と、中央押圧部材6を取囲むように昇降
    ヘツド5に取付けられた加熱用高周波コイル8と
    よりなり、スライド4は取付板12を貫通して流
    体圧シリンダ3のピストンロツド3aの下端に固
    定せられた昇降棒4Aと、昇降棒4Aに固定せら
    れた昇降板4Bとよりなり、昇降ヘツド5の中央
    に摺動棒17が直立状に設けられて昇降棒4Aに
    摺動自在に連結されており、昇降ヘツド5に、各
    分割押圧部材7に対応してこれの作動用レバー1
    0の中程が枢着せられ、昇降板4Bには斜め外方
    下向きにのびるように連結リンク11が枢着せら
    れ、連結リンク11の下端にレバー10の上端が
    枢着せられるとともにレバー10の下端が各分割
    押圧部材7に枢着せられ、各分割押圧部材7は、
    さらにレバー10に平行に並べられた支持用リン
    ク28により水平移動自在に連結せられており、
    スライド4の降下ストローク前半では、スライド
    4と昇降ヘツド5とはともに降下し、スライド4
    の降下後半ストロークでは、ヘツド5が停止して
    分割押圧部材7が中央押圧部材6の方に水平移動
    するようになされている紙製容器のキヤツプヒー
    トシール装置。
