Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 本発明は自動車におけるエンジンフード、トランクリッ
ド、テールゲート、ドア等の如き、インナパネルとアウ
タパネルとより構成された部品の接着方法に係るもので
ある。
この種の部品の接着方法においては接着剤の硬化のため
に加熱するが、従来における接着剤硬化時の加熱方法と
しては、インナ、Jネル及びアウタパネルの両側温度と
も同一になるように均一に加熱する方法が措られている
。このため接着剤の硬化時における体積収縮によって、
アウタパネルに歪(凹み)が発生する。特に軽量化を図
ってアウタパネルの板厚を薄くした場合、前記歪が発生
し易くなる。
本発明はこのような問題点を解決するために提案された
もので、インナパネルとアウタパネルとを接着剤を介し
て接着加熱する接着方法において、インチパネル側の温
度がアウタパネル側の温度より高くなるように温度差を
つけて接着剤を加熱硬化せしめることを特徴とする接着
方法に係るものである。
本発明においては前記したように、アウタパネルとイン
ナパネルとを接着剤で接着し、同接着剤を加熱硬化させ
る場合、アウタパネル側の温度よりインチパネル側の温
度が高くなるように冨度差をつけて接着剤を硬化させる
ようにしたので、接着剤を硬化させる過程においてアウ
タパネルの剛性がインナパネルの剛性より高い状態に維
持され、接着剤硬化時の体積収縮がインナパネルによっ
て吸収されることとなるので、アウタパネル面に歪が生
起し難くなる。
なお本方法は材料の弾性係数が温度により変り易いプラ
スチックの場合に特に有効である。
以下本発明を図示の実施例について説明する。
(1)及び(2)は共に30%ガラス繊維入り不飽和ポ
リエステル樹脂よりなる板厚が265龍のアウタパネル
並にインナパネルである。
前記アウタパネル(11及びインナパネル(2)を2液
型ウレタン系接着剤(3)で接着し、インナパネル(2
)側の温度がアウタパネル(1)側の温度より約50°
C高くなるように温度差をつけて接着剤(3)を加熱硬
化せしめ、前記アウタパネル(1)とインナパネル(2
)とを接着する。
従って前記したように接着剤(3)を加熱硬化させる過
程において、アウタパネル(1)の剛性がインチ・ξネ
ル(2)の剛性より高い状態に維持され、接着剤(3)
が硬化する際の1〜5%の体積収縮をインナパネル(2
)が吸収することとなるので、アウタパネル(1)面に
歪が発生し難くなる。
なお前記接着剤(3)の接着の最大許容温匿は140℃
〜150℃までであって、前記インナパネル(2)側と
アウタパネル(1)側の温度差の上限は70°Cで、こ
れは70℃を超えると、接着面以外のアウタパネル(1
)面全体が捩れ等を生起し、大きく変形するからである
。また前記温度差の下限値は20℃で、これは20℃以
下ではアウタノミネル(1)に歪が発生するからである
次に共に板厚2.5龍で、30%ガラス繊維入り不飽和
ポリエステル樹脂より形成されたアウタパネル及びイン
ナパネルの2液型ウレタン系接着剤による各接着方法の
各実施例を挙げる。
実施例1゜ 乾燥炉でアウタパネル及びインナパネルの両面を加熱温
度100℃で均一に加熱した。
この結果アウタノミネルに最大0.10+gの凹みを生
じた。
実施例2゜ 遠赤外線ランプでインナパネルの片面を加熱温度ioo
℃で加熱した。
この結果、アウタパネルに凹みの発生は殆んどみられな
かρた。
実施例3゜ ニクロム線加熱ヒータでアウタパネルとインナノネルと
の両面を、インナパネル側の温度がアウタノミネル側の
温度より50℃高くなるように加熱した。
この結果、アウタノミネルに凹みの発生は殆んどみられ
なかった。
以上本発明を実施例について説明したが、本発明は勿論
このような実施例にだけ局限されるものではなく、本発
明の精神を逸脱しない範囲内で種々の設計の改変を施し
5るものである。

Claims (1)

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. インナパネルとアウタパネルとを接着剤を介して接着加
    熱する接着方法において、インナパネル側の温度がアウ
    タパネル側の温度より高くなるように温度差をつけて接
    着剤を加熱硬化せしめることを特徴とする接着方法。
