Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 産業上の利用分野 本発明は光学的に情報を記録あるい、は再生する光ディ
スクに関するものである。
従来例の構成とその問題点 近年、情報信号を高密度で記録あるいは再生できる光デ
ィスクが注目されている。
光ディスクの製造工程は第1図に示すような4つの工程
よりなる。第1の工程は光ディスクの原盤を作成する工
程で、普通ガラス円板に7オトレジストを塗布し、それ
に高パワーのレーザーを照射して情報トラックあるいは
トラックアドレス用の溝を形成する。第2の工程はスタ
ンバ工程で、原盤にニッケル等の電鋳によってスタンパ
ディスクを作成する。第3の工程はレプリカ工程で、ス
タンパディスクから紫外線硬化樹脂や射出成形等により
情報トラックを写し取り大量のレプリカデ・イスクを作
成する。第4の工程は蒸着工程で、レプリカディスクに
記録用光ディスクの場合は記録材料を蒸着し、再生専用
光ディスクの場合はアルミを蒸着する。以上の4つの工
程をへて光ディスクは完成するが、工程管理あるいは光
ディスクの管理をするために製造番号等の識別情報を光
デイスク上に設ける必要がある。このため、従来の光デ
ィスクではレプリカ工程後あるいは蒸着工程後に製造番
号等の識別情報をインク等で印刷していた。かかる方法
では印刷時点で情報トラックにゴミ等が付着した石、印
刷以降に不注意によシインクが情報トラックに付着する
ことがあり、光ディスクの品質上問題があった。また製
造番号等の識別情報を自動的に読み取ることが困難であ
るため、工程管理、出荷検査の自動化がむつかしいとい
う欠点があった。
発明の目的 本発明は上記従来の問題点を解消するもので、ディスク
品質を損なわず、また工程管理、出荷検査の自動化が容
易に行える、光デイスク製造番号等の識別情報を設けた
光ディスクを提供することを目的とする。
発明の構成 本発明は、光ディスクの製造番号等の識別情報を記録膜
蒸着用の蒸着膜によシ記録し、光学的にも、人間にも読
み取シ可能な製造番号等の識別情報を備えた光ディスク
であり、自動読み取りできることによシ、工程管理の自
動化を図り省力化できるものである。
実施例の説明 第2図は、本発明の実施例における光ディスクの概略図
である。第3図は、ディスク製造番号等の識別情報だけ
を拡大したものであり、21は光学的読み取り用光デイ
スク製造番号、22は光デイスク製造番号のスタート信
号、23はエンド信号、24は肉眼でも読み取り可能な
光デイスク製造番号である。
以上のように構成されたこの実施例の光ディスクについ
て、以下説明する。この実施例においては、情報領域の
有効利用を図るため、ディスク製造番号21,24Uデ
ィスク内周に記録している。
ディスク製造番号21は1桁を4ビツトのBCDコード
で表していて、各ビットは記録膜の蒸着欠陥等の影響を
受けないような長さく低周波)で記録している。また、
ディスク製造番号2’1,24゜スタート、エンド信号
22.23は内周の記録膜蒸着領域を制限する、遮断材
にスリット黙のものを取付けることにより、記録膜の有
無によって記録している。このディスクの検査を行う場
合、ディスク11をディスクモータに装着回転させ、デ
ィスク11上の製造番号21、スタート信号22、エン
ド信号23に対して、フォトダイオード、フォトトラン
ジスタ等の光学手段を用いて光を照射、はね返ってくる
光によりこれらの情報を読み取ることができる。スター
ト信号22、エンド信号23により、製造番号21の始
終を知ることができる。
また、ディスク製造番号24は、人間が読み取り識別を
行う場合に利用し、光学的手段を用いなくてもディスク
製造番号を即時識別できる。
以上のようにこの実施例によれば、ディスク製造番号を
ピント状で記録膜蒸着時に、記録膜の有無によって記録
することにより、蒸着欠陥等の影響を受けることなく光
学的にも、人間にも読み取シ識別できる。
なお、この実施例においては製造番号21はBCDコー
ドで記録したがバーコードでもよい。また、蒸着膜の記
録はディスク製造番号2’1..24゜スタート、エン
ド信号22.23だけだったが、記録膜蒸着を制限する
遮断材に、様々のスリットを入れることによシ、商品名
等を入れることも可能である。
発明の効果 本発明の光ディスクは、光学的にも人間にも読み取9可
能々ように、ディスク製造番号等の識別情報を記録膜蒸
着時に記録することにより、よりドロングアウドの少い
高性な光ディスクを得ることができ、また製造番号等の
識別情報の自動読み取りができ、ディスク製造、検査な
どの工程管理の自動化が可能となシ省力化でき、その実
用的効果は大きい。

Claims (2)

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. (1)ディスク上にあらかじめ、アドレス情報もしくは
    信号情報がフォーマツティングされたスパイラルもしく
    は同心円状のトラックを有する光ディスクに、光ディス
    クの識別情報を記録膜蒸着用の蒸着膜により設けたこと
    を特徴とする光ディスク。
  2. (2)上記光ディスクの識別情報は、上記アドレス情報
    、上記信号情報と比較して低周波であり光学的に読み取
    シ可能であることを特徴とする特許請求の範囲第1項記
    載の光ディスク。 0)上記光ディスクの識別情報は、人間にも読み取り可
    能な情報であることを特徴とする特許請求の範囲第1項
    記載の光ディスク。
