Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 本発明は、キャリア、キャリア上に設けた膜系及びこの
膜系をシール状に被覆する保護フィルムを備えた、特に
流動媒体の質量及び/又は温度を測定するため、自動車
の吸気管又は排気管又は自動車の車体の外部のような腐
食性環境で使用するだめの測定ゾンデを製造する方法か
ら出発する。この種の方法は既に提案された(西ドイツ
国特許公開第2919433号明細書)。
その場合には同種のプラスチックシート2つを相互に溶
接した。このようにして得られた測定ゾンデは自立性で
はなく、それ故重重は固定のためにフレームを必要とす
る。更に、シート状基材は機械的に僅かに負荷可能であ
るに過ぎず、とりわけ機械的負荷では耐久性が低い。
本発明方法により製造(〜だ測定ゾンデは、高い機械的
安定性及び非常に良好なセンサー特性、即ち変化した環
境条件への迅速な適応性を有する自立性装置であるとい
う利点を有する。このシップは抵抗センサーかつまだ薄
膜素子及び後からンートで覆われていないキャリア区域
上に設けられる別個の構造素子を備えたハイブリッド回
路を包含してよく、保護すべき層は薄膜構造物又は厚膜
構造物であってよい。測定ゾンデを個々に製造するので
はなく、初めに保護フィルムを大きな平面の基板上に施
し、次いでこの基板を殊にレーザ光線を用いて単一ゾン
デに分割するのが工業的かつ経済的観点で特に有利であ
ることが明らかとなった。この分離工程では、伺加的に
保護フィルムとキャリア材料との線溶接を行ない、これ
によシ縁区域の特に確実なシーリングを行なう。他の保
護フィルム被覆と異なり、本発明方法はフィルム厚さを
正確に再現することができ、それ故測定ゾンデの応答で
保護フィルム厚さが異なるための変動が起らないという
利点を有する。このことは、応答時間が単一測定ゾンデ
の全範囲でかつ異なる測定ゾンデで相互に同一でなけれ
ばならない温度センサーでは特に重要である。保護フィ
ルムの厚さは相応する厚さのフィルムを使用することに
より選択することができ、殊にフィルム厚さ212μm
のフィルムを加工する。得られた保護フィルムは湿度及
び酸化的分解に対して安定であシかつまた非常に良好な
化学的安定性をも有する。保護層は保護フィルムの好適
な選択の際に、例えば殊にポリイミドフィルムで被覆し
て使用する際には温度範囲一200℃〜+250℃で使
用可能である。キャリアと保護フィルムとの間の結合部
はヒートシール法によシ熱と圧力を同時に適用すること
により簡単かつ確実に低い製造コストで製造することが
できる。
次に、本発明の1実施例を添付図面により詳説する。
図面において、キャリアは10で記載され、キャリア1
0上に薄膜構造物11が設けられ、その上に保護フィル
ム12が施されている。この配置が、表面が保護される
ために腐食作用環境において、例えば自動車の吸気管又
は排気管中で、あるいは特に冬季に著しい腐食作用を受
ける自動車の車体の外部で使用するのに非常に好適であ
る測定ゾンデを構成する。例えば、製造された測定ゾン
デは、特に保護フィルム12側から薄膜系11上に影響
を与える流動媒体の量及び/又は温度の測定に利用する
ことができる。
ヒートシール法によシ熱と圧力の適用により溶融した保
護フィルム12の材料がキャリア10の表面」二に強固
に付着するので、保護フィルム12幻ニ薄膜系11を完
全に密閉被覆する。
第1図には、2個の抵抗構造物13及びそれぞれ2個の
接続導体路14からのパターンを備えたギヤリア10が
図示されている。この上に切欠き15を有する保護フィ
ルム12が施されており、このフィルムはポリイミド層
16とその下部に設けたI” B P層17 (’I’
EIi”LON、テトラフルオルエチレン)とから成っ
ている。保護フィルム12は切断、打抜き又は類似の分
離法により図示された形状で製造され、後にその形状で
キャリア10が被覆される。
第3図は、保護フィルム12で被覆されたキャリア10
を表わす。切欠き15の範囲には接続導体路14の接合
端部が位置する。保護フィルム12はFEP層17でキ
ャリア10上に施されかつ調整される。公知の接着装置
(図示せず)を用いてキャリア10と保護フィルム12
を約300℃に加熱しながら圧縮し、その際にF E 
P層とキャリア10との密封が行なわれる。FEP層1
7は溶融しかつ部分的にキャリア10の上部区域中に浸
透する。一方ポリイミド層16は可塑化されず、均一な
厚さの保護層が形成される。
本発明方法による測定ゾンデの製造は特に経済的であり
、かつ第4a図により初めに保護層12を太平面のキャ
リア10上に施し、次いで第5図に示されているように
これをレーザの使用下分割する場合に縁の絶対的なシー
リング性が保障される。この際に、保護フィルム12と
キャリア10の縁18の溶接が行なわれ、それ故特に危
険な縁区域で完全にシーリング性である。
特に、キャリア10としてはガラス及びセラミックが好
適であるが、温度安定なプラスチックキャリア又は絶縁
層を有する金属基板を使用することもできる。金属基板
を絶縁するには例えばS i Oz 、 S i3N4
.A−/403のような薄膜絶縁層及びスクリーン印刷
されたガラス又は酸化物充填されたプラスチックのよう
な厚膜絶縁層が該当する。全く別種の絶縁物の組合せ層
も使用することができる。
本発明方法によシ、特に経済的に腐食作用に対して安定
でありかつ簡単かつ確実に取付けることのできる測定ゾ
ンデを製造することができる。非常に腐食作用の強い場
所、例えば自動車の排気管中で使用する場合に長い寿命
が保障されている。例えば、金属製抵抗薄膜系13であ
ってよい薄膜系は、腐食性の環境媒体のそれぞれの作用
を回避する気密々シーリング性の保護フィルム12を備
えている。これにより、沈着した環境媒体の場合により
生じ得る導電性による測定誤差は起らずかつ抵抗膜13
の構造は腐食によって変化せずかつ膜の電気分解は起り
得ない。絶対シーリング性であるが、これを比較的薄く
形成することができるので、センサーの完全かつ迅速な
機能が保障されている。温度センサーの場合に環境媒体
と抵抗膜13との間の熱伝達は保護フィルム12の厚さ
が低いので僅かに妨げられるだけであり、それ故センサ
ーは迅速に温度変化に対応する。フィルムとしては、付
加的にフルオル炭化水素で被覆されていてよいポリイミ
ド多イルムが好適である。この記載の方法は薄膜構造物
を有する測定ゾンデ及び厚膜構造物を有するそれの製造
に適用することができる。それというのもキャリア10
と膜系11との間の接触部で漏れは起9得ないからであ
る。
接続導体路14の錫メッキ又は構造部材のロウ接もしく
は接着のような作業工程は保護フィルム12を施しだ後
で測定ゾンデ上で行なう。このためロウ接又は層着個所
を保護フィルム12を施す前に保護フィルムから切欠い
ておく。それ故、次の作業工程が損なわれることはない
製造」二の見地では厚さ12μm以上のフィルムを使用
すると有利である。保護フィルム12の厚さは市販のフ
ィルムでは極めて一定であり、それ故均−な厚さの保護
フィルムが得られる。
ヒートシール法によシ保護フィルムを施すことは公知で
あり、本発明で詳説する必要はない。

Claims (1)

  1. 【特許請求の範囲】 1、 キャリア、キャリア上に設けた膜系及びこの膜系
    をシール状に被覆する保護フィルムを備えた、腐食性環
    境で使用するだめの測定ゾンデを製造する方法において
    、キャリア(10)上にプラスチック保護フィルム(1
    2)をヒートシール法によシ圧力と熱の適用下に施すこ
    とを特徴とする測定ゾンデの製法。 2 保護フィルム(12)を太平面のキャリア(10、
    第4a図)」二に載せ、そのキャリアを後から個々の測
    定ゾンデ(第3図)に分割する特許請求の範囲第1項記
    載の方法。 3 被覆した太平面キャリア(10)をレーザ光線を用
    いて、保護フィルム(12)と単一キャリア(10)の
    縁を同時に溶接しながら測定ゾンデに分割する特許請求
    の範囲第2項記載の方法。 4 保護フィルム(12)をガラス、セラミック、プラ
    スチックもしくは絶縁層を有する金属基材から成るキャ
    リア(10)上に施す特許請求の範囲第1項〜第3項の
    いずれか1項に記載の方法。
