Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 本発明は、キヤリア、キヤリア上に設けた膜系
及びこの膜系を密閉に被覆する保護フイルムを備
えた、特に流動媒体の質量及び/又は温度を測定
するため、自動車の吸気管又は排気管又は自動車
の車体の外部のような腐食性環境で使用するため
の測定ゾンデを製造する方法から出発する。この
種の方法は既に提案された(西ドイツ国特許公開
第2919433号明細書)。その場合には同種のプラス
チツクシート2つを相互に溶接した。このように
して得られた測定ゾンデは自立性ではなく、それ
故取付け固定のためにフレームを必要とする。更
に、シート状基材は機械的に僅かに負荷可能であ
るに過ぎず、とりわけ機械的負荷では耐久性が低
い。
西ドイツ国特許公開第3035769号明細書から、
ガス及び液体の流速の測定装置が公知であり、そ
の装置では調節スイツチで電気的に加熱される温
度依存性抵抗1個以上がプレート状に構成されか
つその細長面が保護層で被覆されている。抵抗装
置全体に保護フイルムとしてプラスチツクフイル
ムを施すことは開示されていない。
西ドイツ国特許公開第3040448号明細書には、
液体の流量計が開示されており、この装置では測
定兼比較抵抗として機能する導電体が薄い抵抗層
の形で薄いキヤリアシート上に設けられている。
薄層抵抗がキヤリアシートの一方の面上に配置さ
れておりかつ接着剤を塗布した第のシートで覆わ
れている。プラスチツクフイルムを施すためのヒ
ートシール法は適用されておらずかつフイルムの
縁を同時に溶接しながら単一キヤリアへの分割は
行われていない。プラスチツクフイルムの溶接法
は例えば“レンプス・ヒエミー・レキシコン
(Ro¨mpps Chemie−Lexikon)”、1902頁(1976
年)から基本的に公知であるが、本発明と関連す
るものではない。
更に、古い西ドイツ国特許出願第P3115656.8号
にキヤリア上に設けた抵抗層を有する電気抵抗及
び抵抗が層状にキヤリア上に施されていて、かつ
耐食性誘電保護層で被覆されている電気抵抗の製
法が記載されている。この保護層は殊に層厚
0.5μmを有しかつ有機物質、殊に蒸気相から沈積
させかつ放射線で重合させた珪素有機物質より成
る。
本発明方法により製造した測定ゾンデは、高い
機械的安定性及び非常に良好なセンサー特性、即
ち変化した環境条件への迅速な適応性を有する自
立性装置であるという利点を有する。このゾンデ
は抵抗センサーかつまた薄膜素子及び後からシー
トで覆われていないキヤリア区域上に設けられる
別個の構造素子を備えたハイブリツド回路を包含
してよく、保護すべき層は薄膜構造物又は厚膜構
造物であつてよい。測定ゾンデを個々に製造する
のではなく、初めに保護フイルムを大きな平面の
基板上に施し、次いでこの基板を殊にレーザ光線
を用いて単一ゾンデに分割するのが工業的かつ経
済的観点で特に有利であることが明らかとなつ
た。この分離工程では、付加的に保護フイルムと
キヤリア材料との縁溶接を行ない、これにより縁
区域の特に確実なシーリングを行なう。他の保護
フイルム被覆と異なり、本発明方法はフイルム厚
さを正確に再現すことができ、それ故測定ゾンデ
の応答で保護フイルム厚さが異なるための変動が
起らないという利点を有する。このことは、応答
時間が単一測定ゾンデの全範囲でかつ異なる測定
ゾンデで相互に同一でなければならない温度セン
サーでは特に重要である。保護フイルムの厚さは
相応する厚さのフイルムを使用することにより選
択することができ、殊にフイルム厚さ≧12μmの
フイルムを加工する。得られた保護フイルムは湿
度及び酸化的分解に対して安定でありかつまた非
常に良好な化学的安定性をも有する。保護層は保
護フイルムの好適な選択の際に、例えば殊にポリ
イミドフイルムで被覆して使用する際には温度範
囲−200℃〜+250℃で使用可能である。キヤリア
と保護フイルムとの間の結合部はヒートシート法
により熱と圧力を同時に適用することにより簡単
かつ確実に低い製造コストで製造することができ
る。
次に、本発明の1実施例を添付図面により詳説
する。
図面において、キヤリアは10で記載され、キ
ヤリア10上に薄膜構造物11が設けられ、その
上に保護フイルム12が施されている。この配置
が、表面が保護されるため腐食作用環境におい
て、例えば自動車の吸気管又は排気管中で、ある
いは特に冬季に著しい腐食作用を受ける自動車の
車体の外部で使用するのに非常に好適である測定
ゾンデを構成する。例えば、製造された測定ゾン
デは、特に保護フイルム12側から薄膜系11上
に影響を与える流動媒体の量及び/又は温度の測
定に利用することができる。
ヒートシート法により熱と圧力の適用により溶
触した保護フイルム12の材料がキヤリア10の
表面上に強固に付着するので、保護フイルム12
は薄膜系11を完全に密閉被覆する。
第1図には、2個の抵抗構造物13及びそれぞ
れ2個の接続導体路14からのパターンを備えた
キヤリア10が図示されている。この上に切欠き
15を有する保護フイルム12が施されており、
このフイルムはポリイミド層16とその下部に設
けたFEP層17(TEFLON,テトラフルオルエ
チレン)とから成つている。保護フイルム12は
切断、打抜き又は類似の分離法により図示された
形状で製造され、後にその形状でキヤリア10が
被覆される。
第3図は、保護フイルム12で被覆されたキヤ
リア10を表わす。切欠き15の範囲には接続導
体路14の接合端部が位置する。保護フイルム1
2はFEP層17でキヤリア10上に施されかつ
調整される。公知の接着装置(図示せず)を用い
てキヤリア10と保護フイルム12を約300℃に
加熱しながら圧縮し、その際にFEP層とキヤリ
ア10との密封が行なわれる。FEP層17は溶
融しかつ部分的にキヤリア10の上部区域中に浸
透する。一方ポリイミド層16は可塑化されず、
均一な厚さの保護層が形成される。
本発明方法による測定ゾンデの製造は特に経済
的であり、かつ第4a図により初めに保護層12
を大平面のキヤリア10上に施し、次いで第5図
に示されているようにこれをレーザの使用下に第
4a図の一点鎖線に沿つて単一測定ゾンデ(第4
b図参照)に分割する場合に縁の絶対的なシーリ
ング性が保障される。この際に、保護フイルム1
2とキヤリア10の縁18の溶接が行なわれ、そ
れ故特に危険な縁区域で完全にシーリング性であ
る。特に、キヤリア10としてはガラス及びセラ
ミツクが好適であるが、温度安定なプラスチツク
キヤリア又は絶縁層を有する金属基板を使用する
こともできる。金属基板を絶縁すには例えば
SiO2,Si3N4,Al2O3のような薄膜絶縁層及びス
クリーン印刷されたカラス又は酸化物充填された
プラスチツクのような厚膜絶縁層が該当する。全
く別種の絶縁物の組合せ層も使用することができ
る。
本発明方法により、特に経済的に腐食作用に対
して安定でありかつ簡単かつ確実に取付けること
のできる測定ゾンデを製造することができる。非
常に腐食作用の強い場所、例えば自動車の排気管
中で使用する場合に長い寿命が保障されている。
例えば、金属製抵抗薄膜系13であつてよい薄膜
系は、腐食性の環境媒体のそれぞれの作用を回避
する気密なシーリング性の保護フイルム12を備
えている。これにより、沈着した環境媒体の場合
により生じ得る導電性による測定誤差は起らずか
つ抵抗膜13の構造は腐食によつて変化せずかつ
膜の電気分解は起り得ない。絶対シーリング性で
あるが、これを比較的薄く形成することができる
ので、センサーの完全かつ迅速な機能が保障され
ている。温度センサーの場合に環境媒体と抵抗膜
13との間の熱伝達は保護フイルム12の厚さが
低いので僅かに妨げられるだけであり、それ故セ
ンサーは迅速に温度変化に対応する。フイルムと
しては、付加的にフルオル炭化水素で被覆されて
いてよいポリイミドフイルムが好適である。この
記載の方法は薄膜構造物を有する測定ゾンデ及び
厚膜構造物を有するそれの製造に適用することが
できる。それというのもキヤリア10と膜系11
との間の接触部で漏れは起り得ないからである。
接続導体路14の錫メツキ又は構造部材のロウ接
もしくは接着のような作業工程は保護フイルム1
2を施した後で測定ゾンデ上で行なう。このため
ロウ接又は接着個所を保護フイルム12を施す前
に保護フイルムから切欠いておく。それ故、次の
作業工程が損なわれることはない。製造上の見地
では厚さ12μm以上のフイルムを使用すると有利
である。保護フイルム12の厚さは市販のフイル
ムでは極めて一定であり、それ故均一な厚さの保
護フイルムが得られる。ヒートシール法により保
護フイルムを施すことは公知であり、本発明で詳
説する必要はない。

Claims (1)

  1. 【特許請求の範囲】 1 キヤリア、キヤリア上に設けた膜系及びこの
    膜系を密閉被覆する保護フイルムを備えた、腐食
    性環境で使用する、流動媒体の質量及び/又は温
    度を測定するためのゾンデを製造する方法におい
    て、キヤリア10上に保護フイルムとしてプラス
    チツクフイルム12をヒートシール法により圧力
    と熱の適用下に施し、かつその後被覆したキヤリ
    ア10をレーザ光線を用いて、保護フイルム12
    と単一キヤリア10の縁を同時に溶接しながら測
    定ゾンデに分割することを特徴とする測定ゾンデ
    の製法。 2 保護フイルム12をガラス、セラミツク、プ
    ラスチツクもしくは、絶縁層を有する金属基材か
    ら成るキヤリア10上に施す特許請求の範囲第1
    項記載の方法。
