Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 この発明は特にレーザを用いた高密度光磁気記録装置に
かかる。
磁性媒体を先ず一方向に磁化しておいて、信号で変調さ
れたレーザ光を当て、その部に前記と逆方向の磁界をか
けると強く信号が記録されることを発明者出願特願昭5
8−25388号明細書に示した。
レーザ特に半導体レーザは使用中に出力が減退し、レー
ザ変換時の出力も変化する。
」−記述方向磁界は研究の結果レーザ出力が減少した時
は磁界を増加すれば同様に記録が行なわれることが判っ
た。同様にレーザ出力が増大した時は磁界を減ず。この
よろな自動調節系を用いれば長期間安定に記録再生がで
きる。
第1図は本発明実施例を示す。Iは移動する磁性媒体例
えばCrO2テープで、先ず磁石2によって十分一方向
に磁化しておいて、信号3で変調されたレーザ4のビー
ム13で照射しつつ、電磁石6で通磁Wを加える。一方
、ホトトランジスタ等の光センサ8の出力で制御される
調節器7によって6の電流が制御されそのレーザ出力に
対応した最適磁界を与える。もちろんレーザ出力は信号
によって変動するから、8の出力は適当な時定数処理す
る。更にモニタ再生ヘッド20の再生出力が最大になる
よう7を制御してもよい。
第2図は本発明の原理を示す。横軸は第1図8なるセン
サ出力で、縦軸の曲線12は電磁石6の磁界強度を示す
。図のようtこ出力が減れば磁界を増加する。
第3図は第1図の変形を示す。逆方向磁界を与えるのは
永久磁石6であって、6は移動装置10例えばスピーカ
駆動系で磁性媒体への距離が不変であり、10はやはり
光センサ8て制御され、第2図のような特性を与える。
本発明は任意の磁性体例えばディスクやドラムなどにも
適用できることは明らかである。
本発明の磁界調節手段はアナログ、ディジモル何れの場
合も用いられるが、アナログの場合子を最小にするよう
調節することは容易である。
本発明は上記特定例に限らず、種々の変形ができる。

Claims (1)

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 磁性媒体を一方向に磁化する手段と、磁化された磁性媒
    体を部分的に加熱する加熱手段と、該加熱手段に係合し
    て前記磁性体を前記一方向と逆方向に磁化する手段と、
    該加熱手段に係合してその出力に応し該逆磁化手段を変
    化させる制御手段とを備えた光磁気記録装置。
