Description

【考案の詳細な説明】 本考案は車両用照明光の反射防止装置に関する。
車両における速度計、燃料計等の計器類或はその他のメ
ータ表示には夜間の使用を考慮して照明用の光源を設け
ているが、この照明光がウィンドガラスに反射して運転
者の視界を妨害する欠点がある。
車両のフロントウィンドガラスからの反射はインストル
メントパッドの上部を乗員側に伸ばして反射しないよう
にできるが、サイドウィンドガラスからの反射は防止で
き″ず、そのためドアミラーの視界内にメータの表示装
置の照明光の反射光が入り、運転者の視界を妨げた。
これに対しては計器の位置を変える等の対策しかなく機
能部品の配置等に制約を受けた。
本考案はこれらの不具合を改善するため、インストルメ
ントパネルのパッドのメータの表示装置の照明光の光路
内に水平方向に振動する光に偏光する偏光板を配設し、
サイドウィンドガラス面にこの光が当ってもガラス面内
で反射光を吸収して或は減衰させるようにし、夜間時の
ドアミラーの視界を妨げないようにすると共にインスト
ルメント周辺の機能部品の取付は自由度を増大させるも
のである。
また更に該サイドウィンドガラス面上を艶消し処理し、
反射光を更に減少させメータの表示装置からの反射光を
防止するようにしたものである。
以下図面につき本考案の実施例を詳細に説明する。
第１乃至３図は本考案の第１実施例を示すもので、第１
図において１はインストルメントパネル上部に設けたパ
ッド、２はインストルメントパネルに設けた速度計、燃
料計等のメータの表示装置、３はそのメータ表示装置２
の透明板の前面に設けた偏光板で、この偏光板３はメー
タの表示装置２内の光源４より出た光を第２図示のよう
に水平方向に振動する光に偏光させる向きに配置する。
なお、第３図において５はサイドウィンドガラスである
。
本考案はかＸる構成よりなるものであるから、メータの
表示装置２の光源４より出た光Ｌ１は第３図示のように
入射角ｉでサイドウィンドガラス５に入射し、運転席に
向って反射しようとするが、光Ｌ■は偏光板３により水
平面すなわち入射面の方向に平行に振動する偏光となっ
ている。
ｔａｎ １＝ｎ ｎはウィンドガラス５の屈折率の条件を満たすとき、す
なわち一般にガラスの屈折率は１．４〜１．６であるの
で、１＝５４°〜５６°のときは光は反射されない。
したがって反射光Ｌθは吸収されて全くなくなるか、或
は減衰されて非常に減少するものである。
上記実施例では偏光板３をメータの表示装置２の透明板
の前面に設けているが、第４図イに示す第２実施例のよ
うに偏光板３を透明板の代りにメータの表示装置２の前
面に設けてもよい。
またこの偏光板３の前面或は裏面には第４図目示のよ・
うに白色透明シート６を設けてもよく、この透明シート
６にはメータの表示用の絵または文字を印刷してもよい
。
上記実施例では偏光板３は表示装置２の前面に常時設け
ているが、偏光板３は夜間等の必要なときのみメータの
表示装置２の前面に置くようにしてもよい。
第５図は本考案の第３実施例を示すもので、偏光板３ａ
をメータの表示装置２の前面上部にプラスチックヒンジ
７等により枢着し、常時はパッド１の下面に設けたフッ
ク８により係止すると共に夜間等には第５図鎖線で示す
ように下方に回動してメータの表示装置２の前面に置く
ようにしたものである。
第６図は本考案の第４実施例を示すもので、サイドウィ
ンドガラス５の上記メータの表示装置２の光を写す位置
に艶消し処理をした透明板９を接着したものである。
これによりサイドウィンドガラス５からの反射光は散乱
され、運転者への反射光は更に減少し防止するものであ
る。
サイドウィンドガラス５に艶消し透明板９を接着する代
りにサイドウィンドガラス５の表面自体を艶消し処理し
てもよい。
また第７図に示す第５実施例のように艶消し透明板９の
上部をドアに支持した波形スプリング１０に上下に回動
ずべく嵌合したホルダー１１により枢支し、夜間時のみ
第７図の鎖線で示すようにサイドウィンドガラス５の内
側の位置に回動してもよい。
以上のように本考案によればメータの表示装置の光源よ
り出た光の光路内に光を水平方向の振動面をもった光に
偏向させる偏光板を設けているので、サイドウィンドガ
ラス面にこの光が当ってもガラス面内で反射光を吸収或
は減衰させ、夜間時のドアミラーの視界を妨げないと共
にインストルメント周辺の機能部分の取付は自由度を増
大させると共にサイドウィンドガラス面上に艶消し処理
をしたので、その反射光を散乱して減少させ、表示装置
からの反射光を防止させるものである。

    【実用新案登録請求の範囲】
  1. インストルメントパネルに設けたメータの表示装置にお
    いて、そのメータの表示装置の光源より出た光の光路内
    に光を水平方向に振動する光に偏光させる偏光板を設け
    ると共に、サイドウィンド部の表示装置からの光を反射
    する位置に艶消し処理をしたことを特徴とする車両用照
    明光の反射防止装置。
