Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 本発明は、テープリールから引出したFRPプリプレグ
テープを押付ロールにて型などの被照付物表面に密着さ
せて貼付けるためのFRPプリプレグチーブ自動貼付装
置に関するものである。
FRPプリプレグチーブは、硬化反応を防ぐために冷所
に貯蔵されており、必要なときに取出して使われる。こ
のテープに用いられている硬化用樹脂(例えばエポキシ
樹脂)は常温では粘度が相当高いため、1該テープを貼
付けるときはテープの表面温度が約60℃になるように
加熱すれば、樹脂の粘度が低下してテープの可とう性が
良くなり、該テープを被照付物表面□に確実に密着させ
、被照付物表面とテープの間の空気を完全に・追出して
確実な貼付けができる。このため、押付ロールによる貼
付けの直前にテープをプリヒータで予備加熱することが
望ましい。しかしながら、テープの貼付けは、被照付物
表面に隙間なく該テープを貼っていく場合にも、連続的
には行なわれず、その巾方向へ順次ずらせて断続的に行
なわれる。そこで、貼付は時のテープの走行に合せて所
定の予備加熱が行なわれるようにプリヒータを設定して
おくと、テープが次の貼付けを待つ間に停止していると
き、オーバヒートとなり、テープの温度が異常に上昇し
て硬化反応が起こるようになる。このため、テープの停
止時には、当然プリヒータを止めなければならないが、
単にプリヒータを止めただけでは余熱が残っており、ま
た再加熱の時には温度の立上がりが遅く、テープを所望
の温度に加熱することができない欠点を生ずる。
本発明は、前述した点に鑑みなされたも・つで、貼付は
動作に合せて断続的に引出されてくるテープを、その停
止時にオーバヒートを起こすことなく、かつ走行して貼
付けられていく時には所望の温度に予備加熱して的確な
貼付けを行ない得るようにしたFRPプリプレグテープ
自動貼付装置を提供するにある。
以下本発明の一実施例を示す第1図ないし第2図につい
て説明す・る。第1図において、1は台で、その上に被
貼付物2が取付けられている。3はテープリールで、F
RPプリプレグチーブ(以下テープという)4とその片
面に貼られた保護紙5を貯えている。これらのテープ4
と保護紙5は、ガイドロール6を介して引出ロール7.
7により引出され、テープ切断部8、プリヒータ9およ
びガイ−トロール10を介して弾性を有する押付ロール
11へ導かれ、テープ4は図示しない押付力付与手段に
よる押付ロール11の押付力とテープ4の粘着力によっ
て第1図に示すように被貼付物2の表面に貼付けられ、
他方、保護紙5は巻取テープリール12に巻取られるよ
うになっている。前記テープリール3から巻取テープリ
ール12までの貼付装置部ま押付ロール11を被貼付物
2の表面に沿って所定の方向へ移動可能に、なされ、こ
の押付ロール11の移動によって第1図に示すように、
被貼付物2の表面へテープ4を隙間なく貼付け、かっこ
の貼付けを向きを変えて数層行ない、所定厚さのテープ
層を形成するようになっている。なお、テープ4は、テ
ープ切断部8にてそれぞれの貼付は個所に応じた長さに
自動的に切断されるようになっているが、保護紙5は切
断されず、この保護紙5によって切断されたテープ4を
押付ロール11まで導き得るようになっている。
プリヒータ9は、第2図に示すように、とンジ13を中
心に旋回可能に設けられ、貼付動作に伴って発信され、
るテープ走行信号とテープ停止信号によって正逆方向に
作動するモータまたは空圧シリンダなどの連動手段によ
り、テープ4が引出されているときは実線で示すように
テープ4に向けられζテープ4が停止したときには仮想
線で示すようにテープ4から外されるようになっている
次いで本装置の作用について説明する。前記のように押
付ロール11をx、y、z軸および回転軸a%b1 c
の6軸回時NC制御により被貼付物2の表面に沿って移
動させると共に、この移動に応じてテープ4の引出しお
よび切断を行ない、被貼付物2の表面にテープ4を貼付
ける。この貼付動作に従ってテープ4がテープリール3
から引出され、押付ロール11に向って走行していると
き)t4よ、プリヒータ9は、第2図に実線で示すよう
に、テープ4に向けられて該テープ4を例えばその表面
温度が約60℃となるように予備加熱する。この予備加
熱により押付ロール11へ至るテープ4は軟化さへ3次
元曲面などの凹凸を有する被貼付物2の表面に確実にな
じんで密着される。
他方、押付ロール11が、被貼付物2の第1図において
右端から左端に達して1回の貼付けを終ると、テ。−プ
4の引出しは停止し、押付ロール11を次q列の貼利は
開始位置へ移動させるが、このようにテープ4の引出し
が停止されるとその信号によってプリヒータ9は、第2
図に仮想線で示すように、同図において下方へ旋回され
、テープ4がら外される。そこで、テープ4は停止と同
時に加熱が完全に絶たれ、オーバヒートになることはな
い。なお、プリヒータ9はテープ4がら外されたときに
も入ったままで加熱状態に置かれ続ける。
その後、押付ロール11が次の列の貼付けを開始し、テ
ープ4が再び引出されるようになると、プリヒータ9は
テープ走行信号によって再びテープ4に向けられ、該テ
ープ4を加熱する。このときプリヒータ9は加熱状態に
置かれているため、遅れを生ずることなく、ただちにテ
ープ4を所定の温度に加熱する。
以上述べたように本発明によれば、断続的に走行して被
貼付物表面に貼付けられるFRPプリプレグテープを的
確に所定温度に予備加熱でき、このためオーバヒートや
加熱不足を起こすことなく、極めて良好な貼付けができ
る。

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. テープリールから引出したFRPプリプレグテープを押
    付ロールで押付けつつ該押付ロールを前記テープの長手
    方向に走行させて被照付物表面に前記テープを貼付ける
    ようにしたFRPプリプレグテープ自動貼付装置におい
    て、前記押付ロールよりテープリール側に前記テープを
    予備加熱するためのプリと−2を前記テープに対向する
    位置と前記テープから外す位置とに変更可能に設けると
    共シー前記テープの停止時には前記プリヒータを前記テ
    ープから外す位置へ置き、前記テープが引出されている
    時に該プリヒータを前記テープに対向する位置へ置くた
    めの連動手段を設けたことを特徴とするFRPプリプレ
    グチーブ自動貼付装置。
