Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 本発明はレーザー1録材料に関するものである。
従来、レーず−ビーム等の記録用ビーム【紀―材料1:
l1m1射し%飾射躯分の融解、響形、蒸発により光学
的なq化を生じさせて記録を行う方法は知られており、
かかる配録方法に用いる1鏝材料としては、基材に低融
点金属、例えば。
8b、 To、 Zn、 Pb、 Cd、Bl、8n%
Be、 In、 ()a等の薄膜【形1してなるものが
知られているが、近年、レーず一配録は更に高速記録が
要望されている。
本発明看等は、金属薄−上に更にPbI 2 (ヨウ化
船)の薄IIv着−することにより、大巾な記録感度の
向上が達1されることvgLい出し、この知艷に基づい
て木槌aAを完成したものである。
pbx2の*i*v設けると感度が上昇する理由は必ず
しも明らかではないが%PbI2はレーず一光■射によ
りpbとI2に分解し、発圧したI2が下−の金属薄1
11腐蝕し、除去するためビットが形−されるものと思
われる。
pbr2の分解は、金属薄膜単一に比べてレーず−のエ
ネルギー閾値は小さいが、pbI2薄−そのものは黄色
透明であり、レーず一光履射部分は無色透明となるもコ
ントラストがなく光学−ぎの差による読取りは困難であ
る6本発明ではpb11薄−の下層に更に金属薄IIt
設けて記録鄭の反射率1高めると共にpbz2の分解に
よる膚蝕勅果により、金属薄誤自身のもつ記録エネルギ
ー値より小さいレーダーパワーで1龜し、読取りt−容
易にしたものである。
以下、本発明について詳細に説明する。
Il!11!5は本発明のP録材料の模式的な断1+図
である。躯1図に示すごとく、本発明のレーず一記録材
料1は、基板2に金属薄1llI3と、 pbty薄t
1M41に11114a′着111eLテアに4*基板
2F!、本発明の1縁材料を保持するものであって、ガ
ラス、アルミニウム及びその他の金II1.ボダエステ
ル、ポリプロピレン、ボシカーボ本−ト、ポg壌化ビニ
ル、ポリアミド、ポジスチレン、ポリメチルメタクル−
ド板の合−m−、ガラス*維勢の、フィルム若しくはシ
ート又は板の単独若しくは複合体が使用しつる。
次に金属ys−sは、Fe、 Co、Cu、 Ge、 
km、 8b、 Te。
Pb、 8n轡から遥ばれる金−が好ましいが、これら
以外のものであってもよい。中でもT@f用いるとpb
x 2の光分解物による腐蝕がすみやかでWC:常温で
安定であるため好ましい。
金属薄Hsは基材2上に蒸着、スパッタリング、イオン
ブレーティング若しくはプラズマ蒸着等の公知の方法6
:より形陪しうる。金属薄−s IF)l[4M 1

〜aoo′にであり、1ooX未満では反射率が小さく
レーデP録部とのコントラストが小さく。
光学一度の1による読取りが困難であり、父、5noo
X+越えると、 pbx2による腐蝕が速やかでなく感
度も低下すると共に読取りに必要な反射率の一点からす
れば過剰な一厚であって不経次に金属薄−5の上にPb
I2の厚み50〜5000裏好ましくは500〜1so
oiの薄@を前記の金属薄−と同様の公知の方法艦:よ
り形1する。
厚みs’oi未満では効果が極端に減少し、はぼ金属薄
11I拳−構成の感度に相当する。又5000Xv越え
るとPt)I 2が光分解し難くなりpbx2の−1設
けたこと4:よる効果がなくなるので好ましくない。
次に本発明を実施例を用いて更6=風体的に説明する。
実施例1 厚み15−のポリメチルメタクル−ド板を洗浄及び脱−
した後、その表面に真空蒸着装置を用いて10 ’To
rrの1件でTel厚み500Xになるよう蒸暑し1次
いでPbl1l同嫌にして厚み5ooXになるよう前記
Tl5(DIE着−に富ねて蒸着した。
以上のようにして得られた記録材料にArレーず−(波
長4aaoX)v集光させて藤射し。
照射11.M射された都の孔【観察したところ。
価は約1声であった。
比較のためS同じボ呼ノチルJタグリレート板にToの
み1500λ厚みに蒸着した記録材料な用いて一条件紀
air行なうと、記録エネルギー閾値は、Pb17薄a
t有する本発明の記録材料i用いる−の2411必要で
あった。
実施例2 厚み100声諺のポリエチレンテレフタレートフィルム
の*iiに実施−1と同様にして8nv300λの厚み
j:なるよう蒸暑し、更5:その上にpbr2v厚み5
ooXになるよう蒸着した。得られた配−材料の記鏝関
値のエネルギー密fは、同様の基材に8nv300λの
厚みで蒸着しただけの従来の記録材料の約173であっ
た。
以上説明したごとく5本発明ζ:よって得られるレーデ
−記録材−は、基板上t:金属薄1I11のみIIII
Iしてなる従来の配録材料にくらべて感度が上昇してい
る。
