Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a required amount of steam in a stable manner, by controlling the amount of steam produced by a waste heat boiler on the basis of the low calorific value of refuse, and effecting high-accuracy control on combustion of the furnace according to a refuse combusting pattern. CONSTITUTION:The low calorific value of refuse is detected through calculation of income and outgo of heat in an incinerator system, and the amount of refuse to be supplied is detected from the low calorific value of refuse thus calculated and an aimed amount of steam produced by a boiler. Then, a standard refuse feeding speed of a drying fire grate is determined from the low calorific value of refuse and the amount of refuse to be supplied. Further, a refuse combusting pattern is assumed from the value obtained from indirect measurement of the area of combustion zone. Here, in case that the assumed value of the combustion pattern exceeds the upper-limit value of an optimal range, the speed of fire grate is increased by a lower-limit value of the optimal range, the speed of fire grate is decreased by a preset rate. By thus obtaining optimal refuse combusting pattern under any circumstances, it is enabled to stabilize the amount of steam produced by the boiler.
