Abstract
PURPOSE: To control the exhaust gas temperature within a specified range by means of at least one of an exhaust gas temperature control burner and a water or steam injection nozzle provided on a flue equipped with an ammonia feed nozzle for denitration.
CONSTITUTION: After fed from a hopper 2, municipal wastes are dried and burnt while moving an grates 3, 4 and 5 and the exhaust gas C thereof ascends toward a flue from a combustion chamber 8. In the flue, a burner 19 is ignited with a temperature detection valve change controller 22 and the controller 22 actuates a adjusting valve 18 to inject water or steam. In this manner, the exhaust gas C is controlled in the temperature within the range from 700 to 1,100°C, thereby improving the catalyst-free denitration reaction by ammonia from an ammonia feed nozzle for denitration.
