Abstract

PURPOSE: To eliminate excessive feed of wastes and control steam amount stably by a method wherein parameters of a controller are automatically modified according to the setpoints of furnace temperature and/or steam amount, and allowable ranges of manipulated variables are set according to the setpoints.
CONSTITUTION: Wastes in a waste incinerator are fed onto a stoker 4 by a feeder 3, and incinerated. A controller 20 for feeder and stoker driving devices 10 and 11 is constituted as follows: An indicating controller 22 conducts arithmetic operations so that the value of a steam amount detection signal 12 from a flowmeter 8 may accord with the output of a manual setter 12 which gives a setpoint for the amount of steam generated in a boiler 6. The output of the indicating controller 22 is corrected by a multiplier 23 according to the output of a function arithmetic unit 30, before impressed on a limitter element 25. The output of the element 25 is prevented from exceeding the output 29 of a function arithmetic unit 24. The outputs of the multiplier 23 and element 25 are fed back to the indicating controller 22 through comparators 26, 27 and OR gate 28.
