Abstract

PURPOSE: To achieve stable operation over a wide range of steam amount by a method wherein the deviation between a setpoint and a detected value of steam flow rate resulting from incineration of wastes is determined, and parameters of an automatic regulator are automatically modified according to the setpoint.
CONSTITUTION: Wastes in a swaste incinerator are dropped from a hopper 2 onto a stoker 4 by the operation of a feeder 3, and incinerated. The feeder 3 and stoker 4 are controlled respectively by driving devices 10 and 11 according to the output of an automatic regulator 9. The regulator 9 (40) not only impresses the output of a manual setter 20, which gives a setpoint for the amount of steam generated in a boiler 6, on a subtracter 21 to determine the deviation between the output and a steam amount detection signal 12, but also impresses the setpoint signal on a function arithmetic unit 41 to correct the output of the subtracter 21 according to the setpoint, in cooperation with a multiplier 42. The output of the multiplier 42 is converted, as conventional, into operation signals 13 and 14 after processed by a coefficient multiplier 22, comparators 23, 24, FF 28, and the like.
