Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the fuel efficiency with the idling revolution set at a lower level by preventing the engine stop through the heightening of the idling revolutions of the engine only at the operation of the power steering. CONSTITUTION:An idle-up controlling circuit comprises a wheel speed switch 15 adapted to turn ON when the wheel speed is zero, a switch adaped to turn ON upon the start of the wheel steering operation and an electromagnetic change-over valve 16. When the wheel steering is operated at the zero wheel speed, the change-over valve 16 starts to work. A path 20 of the change-over valve 16 is communicated to the air via an air filter 21 for nonoperation use while it is communicated to a manifold negative pressure path 24. When the valve works with a controlling circuit, the path 20 is communicated to the path 24 and an actuator 19 connected to a throttle valve 23 is activated to raise the idling revolutions.
