Abstract

PURPOSE: To eliminate an engine stall, by changing starting conditions for feedback control of engine speed and suction air when the engine speed is changed in accordance with conditions of a throttle valve, deviation of engine speed, vehicle speed, etc.
CONSTITUTION: An idling control valve 11 is controlled by changing the volume of air to be used for diluting negative pressure in a negative pressure chamber 15 through control of a pulse solenoid valve 19. The solenoid valve 19 is driven in accordance with a control costant which is set by means of a microprocessor 21 in accordance with the difference between the real engine revolution and a target revolution as well as the real revolution itself, to provide feedback control of suction air, so that the real revolution coincides with the target revolution. The control is effective only when the microprocessor 21 discriminates signals concerning a throttle valve 27, neutral switch 28, vehicle speed 29, deviation and fuel shutoff.
