Abstract
PURPOSE: To perform the proper idle operation upon the fault of an actuator for controlling the idle r.p.m. by compensating the amount of EGR through an actuator for controlling the EGR.
CONSTITUTION: A throttle valve 14 to be controlled by an accelerator, a throttle valve 16 to be controlled by a diaphragm 18 and a fuel injection valve 12 are provided in a suction path 06. The signals from a flow sensor 24, O2 sensor 50 and a water temperature sensor 56, etc. are provided to a controller 60 thus to control the injection valve 12 and the device 18. A pressure control valve 84 for EGR to be controlled by a constant negative pressure source 80 will be controlled by a transistor 90 which receives the duty ratio signal thus to open/close a control valve 86. Upon the fault of an idle rotation control means for controlling the injection valve 12 and the device 18, the duty ratio to the transistor 90 is varied to perform the EGR control for forming the air fuel ratio suitable for the idle rotation.
