Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve an acceleration feeling and effectively control an engine stop by setting the bypass intake air flow rate to the limited lower value in idling state and exceeding the lower value in nonidling state.
CONSTITUTION: When an engine 10 is assumbed to be in idling operation state, the bypass intake air which passes through the bypass intake passage 13 in the state is set as the limited lower value. When it is assumbed to be in nonidling operation state, the bypass intake air is controlled so that it can always become larger value than said control lower value. A throttle valve 10 opens and closes in accordance with the comparison result between the detected speed of revolution of an internal combustion engine 10 and the speed of revolution preset as a target.
