Abstract

PURPOSE:To accomplish a clutch connection optimum for the load condition of the engine by a method wherein when a negative change rate of engine revolution number is detected by a discriminating circuit, the movement of a clutch operating member in the direction for connection is stopped and the member is held at the stop position. CONSTITUTION:The operating member 4 for a clutch mechanism 2 is operated by a diaphragm device 5. A negative-pressure chamber 5a of the device 5 is connected to either an intake passage 1a for the engine 1 or the atmospheric air by a solenoid control valve 11, and a negative-pressure introducing passage of the device 5 is cut off by a solenoid hold valve 12. The valves 11, 12 are connected to a control circuit 13. Further, a pulse generator 14 for the revolution number of the engine, a clutch switch 16 operated when releasing a grip on a shift lever 15, a neutral switch 17 operated when the speed changing gear is not at the neutral position, an accelerator pedal 18, a pulse generator 19 for vehicle speed, and a pulse generator 20 for the revolution number on the driven side of the clutch are respectively connected to the control circuit 13.
