Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve productivity and improve and stabilize the quality of products by feeding molten metal forcibly into an injection sleeve by means of a compressed gas, and injecting the molten metal in the injection sleeve into the casting space in dies.
CONSTITUTION: When an inflow hole 3b is closed by the valve rod 11 in a feeder A and a compressed gas is fed through a vent pipe 10 into a pressurizing chamber 8, molten metal passes through a nozzle 35, and the feed port 37a of a sleeve 37 and is teemed therein. When a constant amt. of the molten metal is fed into the sleeve 37, the amt. appears as a drop of the molten metal level in the chamber 8. The rate of the drop is detected with a liquid level gage 17, which applies an operation signal to an oil hydraulic cylinder 43. The cylinder 43 is operated by this to move a plunger 42 upward, whereby a constant amt. of the molten metal is forcibly fed into a casting space 41. When the rod 11 is pulled up, the molten metal in an annular chamber 9 is introduced through an inflow port 3b into the chamber 8.
