Abstract

PURPOSE: To maintain an air balance in a coating booth even at the starting or stopping period of coating operation, by chronologically and linking together while controlling air-charge into an air-discharge from a coating booth.
CONSTITUTION: When operation in a coating booth is started, variable dampers 9, 10 are set in a completely closed state, and fans 7, 8 are concurrently driven, so that the air is not fed into a coating chamber 3 at this period. As a result, an air stream is not generated. Thereafter, the variable damper 9 is fully opened earlier, by a time necessary for introducing air through the variable damper 9 into the upper portion of the coating chamber 3, than the opening of the variable damper 10, in accordance with an indication by a damper's opening rate-controller 11. When the operation in the coating booth is stopped, the variable damper 9 is closed earlier, by the specific time difference, than the closing of the variable damper 10 in the same manner as at that at the starting period. After the variable dampers 9, 10 are fully closed, the fans 7, 8 are stopped. Consequently, the balance of an air stream in the coating chamber is not broken at the starting or stopping period of the operation in the coating booth.
