Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a high strength copper alloy whose raw material composition is obtained at a relatively low cost, by specifying the ingredients of nickel, tin and manganese in said alloy.
CONSTITUTION: The copper alloy concerns a high strength spring material having age hardening propertieds, and is prepared from 8 to 30%, 3 to 8% of tin, 0.2 to 0.8% of manganese, and balance of copper and unavoidable impurities. Thus a material of which the crystal sizes are fine can be produced, so that surface roughening thereof can hardly be resulted in which will bring about a trouble when, in practice, the bent or drawen part will become a contact part.
