Abstract
PURPOSE:To limit the current independently of a closed loop circuit of a servomechanism control system, by a method wherein a current limiting circuit is composed at a variable resistance element, the resistance value of which is varied by an output obtained by comparing a current detecting signal with a preset reference signal. CONSTITUTION:A current instruction signal 1 drives a motor 7 through an amplifier 4, a pulse-width modulation circuit 5 and a switching circuit 6, and a detector 8 detects the driving current and applies feedback to the amplifier 4. On the other hand, the output of the detector 8 is put into a current limitation setting circuit 20, passed through an absolute value circuit 16, compared with the set value of a volume 11 and controls the gate of FET18. Thus, by making FET18 operate as a variable resistance element and making the current limitation setting circuit 20 operate independently of the feedback circuit, the maximum current of the motor 7 can be limited accurately depending only on the preset current limiting value.
