Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent a pulsation of intake pressure by a method wherein a plurality of resonance chambers having different resonance frequencies are arranged in the intake passage in a device in which a pre-chamber is arranged in the midway of intake passage between a compressor of turbo supercharger and intake port.
CONSTITUTION: The turbo supercharger S is composed of a turbine T which is arranged in the midway of the exhaust gas passage 10, and a compressor C which is arranged in the midway of the intake passage 9, the compressor C is rotated by rotating the turbine T with exhaust gas, air suctioned from the air cleaner A is compressed and then fed to the main body E of the engine. In the intake passage 9 is arranged a pre-chamber 21 upstream of the throttle valve 20. In this arrangement, the first and second resonance chambers 231, 232 having different resonance frequencies are communicated, through tubes 221, 222, with the intake passage 9 between the pre-chamber 21 and the compressor C. Thereby, a pulsation of intake flow is prevented and a charging efficiency of intake flow is improved.
