Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve fuel consumption acceleration at a full revolution and full charge stage by providing the same engine with a supercharging cylinder together with a nonsupercharging cylinder to use properly a working cylinder.
CONSTITUTION: The cylinders of a multiple cylinder engine are divided into two groups A and B to connect an intake manifold 3a with an air cleaner 5 to make a blower 6a of an exhaust turbo-supercharger 6 to like en route to an intake pipe 4b corresponding to one cylinder group B. At the partial charging time a nonsupercharging cylinder A is operated to improve a fuel consumption rate as well as to secure acceleration. At the high charging time the supercharging cylinder B is operated to improve an fuel consumption rate for raising the maximum performance.
