Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the size of a whole V type combustion engine arranging a gas supply chamber in the inside of a crank case between V banks and the like, by improving the arranging positions of two superchargers, the opening positions of intake gas introduction ports or the like.
CONSTITUTION: In a V type combustion engine arranging a gas intake chamber 4 in a crank case 1a between V banks, two axial flow type exhaust turbosupercharger 2, 3 are arranged along the axial direction of a crank above the gas supply chamber 4 between the V banks. Furthermore, a exhaust duct 5 communicated with the exhaust port of the turbine of each supercharger 2, 3 is arranged between the turbines, and intake gas introduction ports 6, 7 communicated with the gas intake chamber 4 are opened in the front and the rear end surface of the crank case 1a. Then, the blower outlet 8 of each supercharger 2, 3 and each intake gas introduction port 6, 7 are connected through by intake gas ducts 9, 10. Thereby, the size reduction of the whole engine and the simplification of the exhaust system piping can be realized.
