Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the eluting rate of Fe, Al, etc. and make possible their reuse by adding an oxidizer and a metallic ion dissociating material to sludge contg. org. materials, then adding an alkali agent with a slight delay from the time for starting dehydration in a dehydrating process.
CONSTITUTION: After sludge 1 contg. org. materials is concd. in a concentrating process, it is added with hydrogen peroxide 3 which is an oxidizer, and ferrous sulfate 4 which is a material dissociating metallic ions in aqueous solution, in an agitating tank 2, and are allowed to cause oxidation reaction under acidic conditions of 2W3pH. Thence, it is dehydrated with a batch type dehydration filter 5 such as filter press, whereby it is separated to dehydrated filtrate 6 and dehydrated cake 7. In a dehydration process, an alkali agent 8 such as caustic soda is supplied to the filter 5 just before the end time of the dehydration filtration and ideally just after the same. Thereby, the dehydrated filtrate is recovered in an acid state and in a state that it is containing a large amount of Fe and Al, thus the dehydrated cake is made neutral.
