EXAMPLE: N-Cyano-N'- [ 2- ( 6-phenyl-3-oxo-2-pyridazinyl ) ethyl ] -N"-propargylguanidine.
USE: A remedy and a preventing agent for gastric hyperacidity, gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer with great prolonged action and low toxicity.
PROCESS: An amine derivative of formula II is reacted with an N-cyano-N'-propargyl-S-alkylisothiourea derivative of formula III (R2 is lower alkyl) in an inert solvent, e.g. acetonitrile or chloroform, at room temperature or under heating to give the compound of formula I.
