Abstract
NEW MATERIAL:A dihydropyridazinone derivative of formula I (R1, R2 and R3 are H, halogen, lower alkyl or lower alkyloxy; R4 and R5 are H or lower alkyl; R6 is lower alkyl; m is an integer 1W5).
EXAMPLE: N-Cyano-N'-[ 4-( 4,5-dihydro-6-phenyl-3-oxo-2-pyridazinyl )butyl ]-N"- methylguanidine.
USE: Useful as a remedy and a preventing agent against peptic ulcers, e.g. gastric hyperacidity, gastric ulcer or duodenal ulcer, and having great prolonged action, low toxicity and improved chemical resistance.
PROCESS: An amine derivative of formula II is reacted with dimethyl cyanodithioimidocarbonate in the absence or presence of an inert solvent, e.g. ethanol, at room temperature or under cooling to give an isothiourea derivative of formula III, which is then reacted with an amide derivative of formula IV under heating to afford the compound of formula I.
