Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a manufacturing method of electrodes for electric discharge processing consisting in filling a wood form with gypsum to yield a gypsum female form, plating the surface of this form with the metallic material for electrode, connecting a lead to this plating, and finally filling it with plastics. CONSTITUTION:First a wood form is prepared as model for the electrode. Then this wood form is placed in a gypsum form and gypsum 3 is poured in. When the wood form is removed after solidification, a gypsum female form 3 is obtained. After subjected to the surface finishing such as filling, the surfaces are plated with a metal with comparatively high electric conductivity such as copper or nickel. A lead is connected to this plating 4 and its end is led to outside. The gypsum female form 3 is filled with epoxy resin or metallic material resin etc. to form a core 6 and take out of the gypsum female form 3. Thus an electrode is obtained.
