Abstract

PURPOSE:To protect the semiconductor element of a high-frequency output circuit positively from eddy currents by giving a rectifying wave-form through which a DC power supply connected to the output circuit starts from zero volt. CONSTITUTION:When a heating coil 1 is short-circuited, the heating coil 1, currents flowing through a transistor 14 for output, also start from zero and increase in response to the starting from zero volt and rise of voltage inputted to the heating coil because the voltage starts from zero volt and rises when a zero cross switch 13 is turned ON. When the currents reach predetermined value, the breakdown of the transistor 14 for output is prevented because a comparison circuit 21 is operated and a switching transistor 16 is interrupted.
