Abstract

PURPOSE:To widen the range of an usable AC voltage, by stopping the operation of a current limiting circuit, when a detection circuit output is present, in a contactless switch the detection cirduit of which receives a drive power supply via the said current limiting circuit. CONSTITUTION:When no output of a detection circuit A is present, a transistor (TR)Q2 makes current limiting operation with a resistor R5, Zener diode Z2 and supplies power supply to the detection circuit A. When the detection circuit A gives an output, a TRQ1 turns on and a thyristor 2 turns on and the power supply voltage is decreased. But, since the base current of the TRQ2 flows via the TRQ1 and the TRQ2 makes no current limiting operation, a sufficient driving current can be supplied to the detection circuit A.
