Abstract
PURPOSE:To raise reliability by making continuity of a 3-terminal AC control device connected to the auxiliary coil of a single-phase induction motor when the motor is started and stopping the current flow continuity after the elapse of a fixed time after starting. CONSTITUTION:If a terminal 2 has positive potential when AC voltage is impressed between terminals 1 and 2, the charge of a condenser 19 is started and at the same time a 3-terminal AC control devive 4 develops continuity with the striking current of arc flowing from the terminal 2 to the device 4 so that current flows in an auxiliary coil 3b to start a motor 3. If the terminal 1 has positive potential, the current flow continuity of the device 4 is made by the discharge current of the condenser 19. When a fixed time has elapsed after the starting of the motor 3, the terminal voltage of the condenser 13 reaches a fixed value, a thyristor 16 develops current flow, the device 4 is turned off and the coil 3b is cut off.
