Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent a fuel amount upon a partial cylinder operation from increasing by a method wherein an accelerating fuel pump is operated in response to a lastly opened control valve among the cylinder control valves sequentially opened in accordance with a running speed. CONSTITUTION:The control valves 22, 23 are opened sequentially in accordance with the running speed or the opening degree of a throttle valve 3. Here, while the last control valve 23 is being closed, a high vacuum is impressed to the pressure chamber 10 of the vacuum actuator 81 of the accelerating pump 5 and a rod 9 is being pulled upwardly. Accordingly, a needle valve body 6 is pushed upwardly by the energizing force of a spring 7 and a fuel passage 11 is closed. When the control valve 23 is opened, the vacuum is decreased, therefore, the rod 9 is pushed down and the needle valve body 6 is lowered against the energizing force of the spring 7. Accordingly, the fuel passage 11 is opened and the amount of the fuel fed to a nozzle 13 through the passageway 11 is increased.
