Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform the automatic direction judging in a simple constitution, by scanning light receiving arrays which are obliquely arranged with respect to the advancing direction of an object to be checked, measuring brightness signals on both right and left sides based on the detection of the object to be checked, thereby determining the advancing direction. CONSTITUTION:At an entrance path 1b of a building and the like wherein an entering side and exit side are not separated, a detecting line L which is obliquely formed with respect to the advancing direction of the object to be checked M such as a man and the like by the light receiving elements P1....
