Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a compound cylinder liner crude material capable of preventing partial wear, by constituting the inside part, corresponding to the top dead center side of a piston, with a low plastic deformation material excellent in wear resistance and the other part with a high plastic deformation material wear resistant to a certain extent. CONSTITUTION:A material A of low plastic deformation with excellent wear resistance, consisting of Al alloy containing Si, and a material B, consisting of an eutectic crystal component of Al-Si system alloy containing Si, are laminated and then punched to prepare laminated disc slag M. This laminated disc slag M is inserted into a metal mold, constituted by a punch 1, die 2 and stripper 3, so that the material A may be positioned to a side of the punch 1, if the punch 1 is moved downward to apply pressure, a cylinder liner crude material P, with less partial wear, can be obtained, in which the inside part corresponding to the top dead center side of a piston is constituted by the material A by a difference of plastic deformation.
